Justice for Comet the Golden

DogLawComplaint.aspx?navid=26&parentnavid=0You may remember seeing the story about Comet being hit by a car and left to suffer by the shelter for 9 days with a broken back. Friends of Golden retrievers has posted a link that we can use to write to the Dept. Of Agrculture in Pa. to make a complaint about this shelter. Please take a minute and voice your concern about this and maybe make sure this does not a happen to another dog. The date was April 21st and the name of the shelter was Fayette SPCA.

Barb, I don’t think anyone posted about this poor pup on our blog. It was on Facebook.

I filled out the form. It makes me sick to think about what poor Comet went through.

I got a repy from PA Agriculture that I needed to contact the President of the Board of the Shelter. When you go to the shelter website there is no email address for the board so I guess a letter would have to be hand written and send by mail to the attention of the board. Who knows who would open it. They have insulated themselves very well.

I filed a complaint and got the same response that Barb did:

Please direct all complaints and concerns regarding this matter to the Board of the Fayette County SPCA.

Such a shame that those entrusted with protecting animals mistreat them!

We are getting messages that we need to contact the Board of Directors. Here is the address to send a letter

Friends of Golden Retrievers ‎Barbara Davis I received an email also saying to contact the board of directors. The quandry is most of the posts on the main thread say that the person responsible for this atrocity is the President of the Board! Who to complain to next?? I’m not going to let this go, not for Comet or future dogs who enter this facility with urgent medical needs. Maybe time to contact TV news shows.

First Comet now Buddy. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN if they can’t do thier damn job right and help suffering animals. I am beyond LIVID over what happened to Comet and Buddy. SPCA LIED about not getting word on Buddy. They did.
