Hi! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get a
captcha plugin for my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having
problems finding one? Thanks a lot!

Aw... our sweet Maple as the "poster child" for the blog entry...

She's still doing well, is mange-free and has quit growling at her brother, TJ, when he's eating.

I feel that puppies who have a whole life ahead of them are a worthwhile endeavour. I hope my small monetary contribution just made will help with the large bills.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course.

The reason I love GRRSM is because you go above and beyond for the pups that are accepted into the rescue. Plus you accept both all ages of rescue dogs, and not just puppies. I sleep sounder knowing that if something happened to me or my husband my GOLDEN would be cared for and found a NEW wonderful home :) Continue the good work!

Okay. A couple weeks later. Scooter has some hearing back.

About a week ago, he responded to a loud hand clap. Earlier this week, he responded to the annoying door bell for the first time since this started. I don't think his hearing is as acute as it had been, but he CAN hear.

I will note, he never seemed upset about this at all. He's always a happy pup. What he had been doing was positioning himself so he could see our faces all the time.

Oh, and pat? I taught him hand signals along with verbal commands from the time he was a pup. There are times when I don't want to have to verbalize 'sit' or lay down' or 'stay' in public.

Scooter is a very large, from a field golden sire and an american golden dam - and he grew larger than both. (26 inches at the shoulder, with correspondingly body length. He fluctuates from 92-97 lbs.) Luckily I knew what I was dealing with. Though, he was still jumping 3 foot fences when he was 10 years old (for cause. You know... Cat. Squirrel. A windblown leaf.) At 13 1/2, he still wants to run a couple times a week.

I hope the both start eating soon. I am sorry you have heard "grumbling" but I would want you to do nothing less than everything possible.
