Our Little Holly

Look at her little face. Isn’t she adorable?

It’s hard to believe that when she was dropped off at our house in April we had to chase her around the yard for 20 minutes to get her into the house!

She was terrified of people. As a stray, who knows what she experienced.

She refused to walk on a leash for 6 weeks…..just laid flat as a pancake. Then one day she decided she wanted to go on the evening walk with everyone else and walked PERFECTLY in heel position. Now she’s a bit of a sniffer as apparently there is a message on every mailbox pole in our neighborhood.

Holly was treated for heartworms…the two month treatment; and, just as she was healthy enough to be spay, appointment scheduled, she went into heat.

She was spay a couple of weeks ago and licked her sutures out so off to the vet we went again. She is now fine. Her tummy hair is growing back.

She is just adorable. She squeals with delight, like a baby pig, when she is happy. She’s been playing with Blaze, our foster puppy, and has always played with the other dogs. She’s fine with the cats, but she does try to get them to play.

She now comes up to people to get petted; still doesn’t like to be brushed, but has a very thick coat, even now in the summer. AND I can still pick her up because she’s little…..much to Holly’s dismay!

She is ready for adoption. Looking for someone with another young pup; a physically fenced yard as Holly likes to dig a hole (We call them her forts.) and watch the world. She has been so much fun to have around. Help us find the perfect family for her.

I wish I could keep her! No one would play with her here though.
I just love her.
