Yep. Thundershirt + Alprazolam seems to be our best solution so far… She hangs out in the basement in a room with no windows during storms. We use baby gates to keep her out of areas that have proven to be dangerous in storms because she tries to get under some pieces of furniture where she clearly can’t fit and knocks stuff over… It may be a stormy week – I hope you can find a thundershirt to try! (And give it 5-7 uses before you judge… It seems to help Crumpet more now than it did when we first tried it… and she loves to wear it.)
Thundershirt works for Zelda! She still hides in her “bomb shelter” (the guest bathroom, which is the only room in the house with no windows), but she no longer pants and vibrates with fear.
