I wanted to have Erin draw my dogs, but when I looked for pix I realized I didn’t have any current ones of Harry where he is actually CLEAN. Well, he just came back from the groomer, and while he does have some marrow bone crude in his chest fur, this is about as clean as he gets.

Anna also went to the groomer because I just cannot trim her feet as nicely as Kendal of the Island Pet Salon on Solomon’s island does. Not sure if you can see that her feet are all neat and trim rather than looking like dust mops in this photo.

Ruby and Maddie didn’t go to the groomer as they are both pretty easy to groom. Both need a bath, but not today. Here’s Ruby.

Now I just need to save up my pennies so I can commission Erin to draw my pups!

Riley is our foster put who spent his life outdoors with MANY other dogs. He is about 14 months old and as Barb Davis would say, “He’s learning how to be a dog.” Here’s a picture of him on my bed with a handful of toys. When I walk in to snap this photo he is ready to slink away as he’s not sure if it is okay to play with toys since he hasn’t had any in the past.

After watching our pups and other foster dogs play with toys Riley is now trying to figure out their appeal.

Yesterday Joe threw a squeaky tennis ball to Ruby and RILEY got it and took it into the woods much to Ruby’s dismay.

Last night on the bed he and Joe were slap boxing each other on the bed right before bedtime.

Riley got down on the floor, we thought to sleep, but I kept seeing the vertical blinds moving. Joe said, “It’s okay. I think he’s playing with some toys.”

Well, not exactly…..he chewed a slat of the blinds.

He IS a puppy……
