Thank You Peggy Shannon
Thank you golden lover, Peggy Shannon, for donating LOTS of ruffies to the rescue. Peggy’s beloved golden, Abbie, crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago. Peggy’s company is named “Abbiekins.” I “met” Peggy when I ordered some of her adorable holiday ruffies for my pups.
Here is a picture of Ruby begrudgingly modeling a Halloween ruffie. (I interrupted morning games.)
Ruffies will be available at event tables; the Hollywood and base craft fairs and if you would like to order via email at contact@goldenretrieverrescueofsouthernmaryland.org. They sell for $5 each and Shannon donated size large and xlarge. Ruby is a petite golden weighing 47 lbs and is wearing a large. If you order 4 we will give you a fifth one for free. We have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, hanukkah, Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Easter and some patriot ones.
Please include a couple of dollars for postage if you order by email or paypal.
FYI, Foster families, We will send one or two ruffies with foster dogs so they can look nice when they go to vet, events, and to their furever family.

Baby Dog Mind Meld
is what Jillian titled this photo on Facebook.
It’s so nice to see a family that doesn’t religate their dog out of their life when a baby comes along. Crumpet is a senior girl who was adopted from the rescue before her human sister Bella came along.
Note Crumpet in her Thundershirt.

It is so EASY to make healthy jerky for your dog and YOU. Buy an inexpensive (around $40) dehydrator. Cut meat into think strips and dehydrate….usually overnight. You’ll have a healthy jerky that you and your dog can enjoy without worrying about the additives that can harm your dog.
This is a great time of year to dehydrate fruits and veggies too.
