On April 11th Dr. Forrest said Harry needed to lose 10 – 15 pounds. On April 25th he suggested Maddie could “lose a few pounds.”

Today we took them for the weigh in for the Golden Rescue Canine Biggest Loser Contest that begins this Saturday and runs till Sept 1.

Well, good news. Just following a couple of the weight loss tips posted on the blog Harry has gone from 94 to 86.2. Our goal for him is to weigh 80 so we are tracking nicely.

Maddie lost 1.5 pounds in a month!!! and weighs 77.5. Our goal for her is to weight 70.

I want my guys to live a long and happy life so we are going to do this over the summer. I hope your pups will join us in the Canine Biggest Loser Contest. Starts this Saturday June 1st. and ends Sept. 1. The dog who loses the greatest percentage of body fat receives a toy from all participants who don’t. “Runaway Ruby,” who was lost twice last year and adopted by us earlier this year is going to Maine with us next month. I’ve been having dreams (almost nightmares) about losing her on our trip.
