Spice also goes to school with her mom Barb so kids can read to her and did a great job – especially the requirement to be left with a stranger…she snuggled right up to Julie.

Pepper’s in Callaway was filled with consternated customers yesterday, trying to find something safe to feed their dogs. The all-around top choice was Earthborn Holistic, which apparently has an untarnished reputation, an excellent line of food, and good prices.

Zelda has been steadily growing indifferent to eating and had begun leaving her breakfast untouched. I had already decided to try switching to different food (rather than going to the vet), when I discovered that the Canidae we feed was involved in the recall. YIKES. I think our specific bag was not recalled, but the recall has become rather complicated by persistent outbreaks, and I trust Zelda!

We tossed out our remaining Canidae kibble and bought a bag of the Earthborn Holistic (bison) to try. Zelda – for the first time ever – finished up her breakfast before Frida did this morning!
