I was so excited to read about Trigger finding his furever family; however, my happiness was tempered with this email notice of dogs being auctioned in the midwest to a likely life of being bred over and over in a puppy mill.

If anyone know family or friends in MO 24 goldens are being sold along with a myriad of other breeds.

Auction

This week Trigger was adopted by Sarah and Bill, who had lost a Golden to cancer in January.  Sarah says, “Hi Everyone, after losing Luke in late January, we really missed having at least two goldens here.  That truly dubious “problem” has now been fixed!   Introducing Trigger, a 7 1/2 year old golden that we adopted from Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Maryland.   He has  settled right in in less than two days and has proven  himself to be a master toy destroyer (about 10 toys have been shredded.. to include Kong toys).   We just picked him up Thursday night but he is already very adjusted to his new abode and is fascinated by the horses.”
