Thank You April Johnson

The first paperwork to complete when starting a non profit in Maryland is the Articles of Incorporation. Back in 2006, I didn’t know very many people as I moved here from Virginia when Joe got transferred to NAS PAX RIVER and I worked from home, so my daughter April, is one of the names on the incorporation paperwork.

Her signature contribution to the rescue is the web site. She tried to nurture me along into the world of the internet thus the reason we have an incredibly long URL ( I had no idea what I was being asked to do when I completed the host agreement with go daddy. The site we have today is the site April designed. Without her, it would have been years in the making.

Her partner, Kevin, is our go to guy when we have issues our web master, Al Huey, is not sure of.

They have four cats. No dogs. Yet, her canine sisters and brothers get Dog Mom Bakery cookies from their human sister. She financially supports the rescue and has provided short term foster and transport. That’s pretty nice of “cat people”.

Since our Facebook group became private to protect members, the web site, and this blog, are the “face” of the rescue.

Please join me in thanking April and Kevin, for their support of GRRSM.
