Product Review: Ruggables

I’ve been rug shopping since two of my pups have injured themselves by jumping off furniture onto our hardwood floors. Their leg/s splayed out causing a torn ligament in one pup and a pulled muscle in another. These rugs would probably be good for dogs who are incontinent or learning house training. Folks who like to change the look of their room from season to season might like as well.

I bought a traditional rug to go under my bed even though I prefer the look of bare hardwood floors.

Ginny suggested I try a company called Ruggables. She didn’t have a rug from here, so rather than go big, I got one to fit in front of our door. With all the rain we’ve been having wet paw prints are a constant.

Ruggables are a two part system. The bottom is like a piece of velcro that holds a top made of heavy, upholstery-like material. The company says a rug up to 8 x 10 size can be washed in a regular machine. To wash,  you just peel off the top.

I was worried the top piece would slip off the velcro base, but so far so good.

Ruggables are a little pricely, but not as much as a really nice wool rug and the fact they can be machined wash is appealing.

They come in lots of cute patterns and colors and I found a discount code before buying. Here is their web site Ruggables

Ask me in a few weeks for an update on the ruggable.
