Honey crosses Rainbow Bridge

Today our Honey crossed over Rainbow Bridge. After several weeks of really slowing down, this week Honey told us she was ready to cross when she stopped eating. Her spirit and love for life just was not there anymore. She was one of GRRSM’s earliest rescues, being the eighth dog taken in during that first year of 2007. Honey has always been our ‘rock’. She was the protector, guardian, and BFF to Miss Morgan, always bringing her home from their escapes and road trips. For Foster, she was the pack leader and constant big sister. Honey was a mentor to many foster dogs, teaching them the ropes and keeping them in line. Poor Honey also was the ‘model’ for many outfits and costumes when Barb needed a picture for the blog or e-mails. She will always remain our Honey-Doo.

My heart aches for you. She looks just like my Marlee.
What a wonderful and beautiful girl.

Honey hairdo was such a Sweet gal. I can see her and Morgan reunited and picking up where they left off. Morgan digging and Honey leading the way. Sending big hugs to you both and Fossie. Take care.
