Chew Enjoying Little Humans

Chew is the 12 year old golden boy whose family did not treat his skin allergies, thus the furless black skin. He’s been in rescue for a month now, on medication and his allergies are under control. We are hoping his fur grows back, but until it does, he sports a jacket to keep him warm.

He goes to the vet this week for a progress check up.

We thank Karin and her family for taking such great care of this guy.

Thankful For Our Volunteers: Liz Pike

I trolled Liz’s Facebook page to try to find a photo of her and her two golden boys, Luke and Murphy, adopted from the rescue, but alas, here’s her profile picture.

Liz is a board member and kind of a jack of all trades for the rescue. Our Events Coordinator, Jean Huey says, “Liz’s enthusiasm at the Charles County and Puppy Playtime with her Luke and Murphy has been wonderful.   Always there to help the rescue in whatever they need.”

Liz transports pups, staffs events, and this year is coordinating the craft fair in Charles County. She will do home visits, host board meetings at her house and generally is willing to do whatever is asked.

It’s nice to have someone who will jump in and help when there is a need.
