Thankful For Our Volunteers: Peggy and Paul Dziewit

Peggy and Paul

I’ve been taking a trip down memory lane this month as we recognize some of our regular volunteers. It seems like Peggy and Paul have been volunteering with the rescue FOREVER!

I met them when they moved to our neighborhood, came to a rescue picnic at our house and adopted our foster boy, Sampson.

They’ve been volunteering ever since. I think the first volunteering they did was when Peggy went with me to pick up a golden who had been abandoned in the back yard when the family moved away. Not only one pup had been abandoned, but a mom and her puppies too. Neighbors took the puppies, and we came home with two pups – Major and Penelope who was later renamed Zelda.

Peggy has served on the board as Secretary/Membership Chair.

Ginny says, “This year she and Paul, fostered Baby, Charlie and foster to adopted Zeki! in addition, Peggy and Paul made the trek to JFK to help transport Turkey pups and also helped me (intake) with stocking up on needed medications from local vets.”

We are fortunate for having long term, experienced volunteers. Please give a shout out to Peggy and Paul for their support of goldens.
