Thankful For Our Volunteers: Ginny Hinders

Rafa and Ginny

November is a time to reflect and give thanks. We plan to recognize a volunteer each day until Thanksgiving.

The first person I’d like to recognize is the rescue’s Intake/Foster Coordinator, Ginny Hinder. Ginny has made ace in MY life for the last almost two years. For the first nine years of the rescue, I did this job and really needed a break.

Ginny came on the board and offered to take over this critical volunteer role. She:

Assesses dogs who need rescued to ensure they are good with other dogs as we only just recently recruited a foster home that does not have other dogs.

Arranges transportation to get them to rescue.

Recruits foster families.

Ensures foster families have needed supplies.

Makes payments to vets for foster pup care.

Provides information and support to foster families.

Maintains data base of foster homes and dogs in rescue.

Links dogs that cannot be brought to our rescue to other resources.

This is a challenging job and Ginny does it while working and caring for her own family.

In addition, Ginny transports dogs, staffs events and a joy to work with.

Please join me in a shout out to Ginny Hinders for being THE BEST FOSTER COORDINATOR EVER!
