GRRSMs Upcoming and Current Fundraiser’s

Happy Sunday!!

I wanted to provide a snap shot of GRRSM fundraisers that are upcoming and a few that are currently underway.

  • Wine Label Auction. You have the opportunity to get your pup(s) on a wine bottle label for about the next year.  Auction will occur on Facebook. Bidding will open on Friday morning (hoping around 7am) October, 27th and will close on Sunday, October 29th at 7pm!

How it will work.  There are 6 varieties of wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Carmenere, and Malbec.

You will choose which variety of wine you want your pups picture on the label and bid in the comments on that wine variety. SOO… 6 varieties …6 winning bidders.

The highest bidder on Oct. 29th @ 7pm will win. Winning bids will be paid to GRRSM.

Your pup does not have to be a GRRSM rescue dog to be on a label. At least 1 golden is required to be in the photo; so for example if your pack includes 2 goldens and another breed that is ok.

This is also the time to stock up on wine, if you like any of our current wine labels.  You can go here to order.   http://www.benefitwines.com/Golden-Retriever-Rescue-of-Southern-Maryland_c_2445.html

The new $15 flat shipping is in place.

  • Chesapeake Grille in Dunkirk. Sunday, November 5- Saturday, November 11 all tips and donations collected will go to GRRSM.  Some folks from GRRSM are also meeting at the Grille on the 5th @ 12:00 for lunch.  Hope you can make it!

The Grille is located at 10092 Southern Maryland Blvd. (RTE 4) in Dunkirk (in a group of shops south of Wawa).  http://eatchesapeake.com/

Thank you to Glenda Spragg for setting up this fundraiser!

  • Mixed Bag Designs Fundraiser. Currently running through December 31.

To receive orders for holiday gift giving, please get your orders in by Thanksgiving. Mixed Bag Designs offers all sorts of bags, tech accessories, and home & kitchen items.  Think about all the gift ideas; while supporting your favorite rescue!  Items are purchased online and shipped directly to you.

Please visit our URL. http://www.mixedbagdesigns.com/Retail-Shop-All?fundraiserid=128319&student=&studentlast=

  • Holiday Greenery, including Harvest Items.

This is our annual Greenery sale.  The fundraiser is up and running through December 15.  Lynch Creek Farm builds your item when it is set to ship.  They create beautiful wreaths, garlands, centerpieces to decorate your home for the holidays. Or, you can send items to family and friends as gifts. You select the delivery date and the greenery is shipped directly to your front door. Online ordering makes it so easy and GRRSM receives 20% of all sales.  It does take a few days for them to create and ship your item, so don’t delay if there is a specific date you need your item by.

Just go to https://www.lynchcreekfundraising.com/teams/103443-golden-retriever-rescue-of-southern-maryland?fundraiser_id=417680 and click Shop Now.

Thank you for your continued support of our GRRSM Fundraisers, so we can continue saving lives!

Meet Chew

Chew

Chew is 12 years old and brand new to rescue today.

He’s an example of why we encourage people to get pet insurance. Some medications and many treatments can be expensive.

Chew’s family cannot afford Apoquel which will help his allergies and thus help his skin improve and his fur to grow back.

Their vet says the angry red sore on his chest is benign. At his age, and if that is true, we likely won’t remove it, but it will be a heck of a lot less noticeable once we can get him to the vet(tomorrow) and to the doggy dermatologist (calling to beg for an appt as it takes a while to get one) and his fur grows back!)

Thank you to Karin for fostering Chew.

We will keep you posted. Thank you for your financial donations that allow us to pay for Chew’s vet care.
