Catie Lynn

It was with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to my heart girl, Catie Lynn on May 10th, 2012. She was my first Golden and she was also the best. Over the 11 ½ years that we were together, she brought joy to many, whether it was jumping in the pile of leaves daddy made, chasing deer, squirrels and birds or endlessly playing football and Frisbee. She loved snow and playing tug of war, which she taught Buck to play quite well, even with the grunting sounds. I look for her every day in spots where she should be and then realize that she is not there. Lightning and Cindy (2 of her pups) went thru over a month of mourning, now Cindy is picking up some of mommy’s traits. The first time Buck came to our house after she was gone, he raced around looking for his tug of war buddy and whimpered the whole time because he couldn’t find her. It just breaks my heart, but I know she is in a better place and has left behind quite a legacy of great pups that she blessed us with. All who met her loved her and miss her dearly.

Oh Catie Lynn, I remember when you had your first litter. How I wanted one of your pups but I had my Alex so I could not take another dog. Feels like yesterday. Run free and play. Alex is at Rainbow bridge with all the others your mommy and I know. A hug and kiss to you my angel girl.
With love, today, tomorrow and forever.
Meryl, Sunshine and Angel Alex

Catie Lynn…Cate Cate…Queen Bee…Mean Mean Mommy…those were your famous names…you were soooo loved and are sooo missed now. It wasnt the same going to moms house and you not being there to boss me around when I was trying to help your baby boy take the toy(even though he would never take it once I got it, he just respected his mommy to much). You sure were the apple of moms eye, and to hear her call me and tell me such bad news broke my heart. I know your up there with your son Max having a blast being the mommy you were, but we miss you hear. I know you walk beside your momma every step of the way, but its just hard not to be able to pet your soft curly coat, or to get intimidated by your gnarly growl…thanks for sooo many years of happiness, and blessing me with your son Austin. Austin is now 9 (along with Cindy and Lightning), and oh how I hate to see him age. He is definately is “MY BABY BOY”, and thanks for giving me him. We love you Catie!

So sorry to hear of your loss. I can relate I will be one year July 9 that I lost my Man Graham tragic @ the ripe age of 16.5 yrs. I adopted him when he was 10 yrs. Young too. I Miss my Graham the Man so much. There is no replacing him just giving love to another great golden rescue from the pound again.
