Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Maryland is a non-profit 501(3)(c) all volunteer organization dedicated to finding homes for golden retrievers in need.
About half of our goldens come to us from owners who can no longer care for their dogs due to health, finances, lack of time, etc. The others come from animal shelters.
All dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, provided medical treatment and put on flea/tick and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. We have no kennel facility. Dogs are loved and cared for in the homes of trained volunteers who assess their temporary dogs’ needs to ensure an ideal placement.
If you love goldens as much as we do, please consider joining us! In addition to loving foster homes, volunteers are needed to staff information tables, raise funds and do home visits for prospective adoptive families.
Join us in helping golden retrievers. Become a member by donating a minimum of $30 each year. Members receive a quarterly newsletter, invitations to our events, a membership decal and card
in addition to the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a difference.
